So, I feel that the weekends do not count as part of the 30 days, due to the fact that I never get on my computer over the weekend since I am on it all week.
I have no idea why I am alive today. Especially considering that I was in a really bad car accident when I was 16 and everyone walked away unscathed.
I really hope that I am alive today because I am supposed to do some amazing things with my time here. What exactly, I don't know.

Day 3: Something that makes you feel better
Well, there are several things that make me feel better. Brennon makes me feel better.
My mom can make me feel better, Briana usually does too.
Shopping, of course! Especially when you have ordered something online and you arrive home to find your package there waiting for you.
Food, always makes me feel better, that's part of the problem!
FRIENDS, the television series, makes me feel better.

Day 2: What can be found in your purse?
The real question is: What isn't in my purse?
I have lip gloss everywhere, any wrapper to anything I eat that has a wrapper. Gum, cough drops, perfume, compact mirror. Wet wipes, wallet, miniature jar of honey, an assortment of vitamins. Aspririn, keys, empty glasses case, camera, key card to get into my work. A qwest bill, coupon book for the gateway, day planner (compliments of Bob Glade), and pedometer, along with my ipod and lotion.
I do NOT have a brush however. I did at one point and am sure that I do have one in my car.

Cole Trickle Gets My Heart Racing
Of course I had every intention of going to Zumba last night after work. I had sent the request to Briana via text, notifying her that I would be attending the 7:30 class if she would like to join me. Upon arriving home, Briana was filling out FAFSA forms on my computer, so I indulged in a light snack, consisting of chips and salsa from, none other than, La Frontera. She said that once she was done we could go to Zumba. She finished at about 6:30. She wanted to get a brush head for my Clarisonic and I wanted to drive by a townhome for sale. So we made plans to run our errands, and decided ice cream sounded better than Zumba. Particularly because the night before I had discovered Oatmeal Cookie Dough flavor ice cream at Cold Stone....it is my FAVORITE!
At Ulta, only Briana was supposed to get something, well, $30.00 dollars later we left the store. We then proceeded to drive around looking for the townhouse I was interested in. Finally we located it on the Midvale/Sandy border and drove by. It looks quite nice, a little cramped to be quite honest. Then we went to Panda Express, split a dinner, and headed over to Cold Stone for our ice cream.
The smell inside Cold Stone is absolutely intoxicating. Everytime I go in there I am reminded of Saint George, and my cousin working at Cold Stone, then I was able to get "the hook up", that is no longer the case.
Once we got home Briana wanted to watch a movie in my room on netflix. So, we searched for a movie and finally settled on, Days of Thunder, an 80's movie starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. For those of you who don't know, Tom Cruise plays Cole Trickle, a loose cannon, race car driver who flys by the seat of his pants. For the first 15 minutes of the flick, Briana gabbed loudly and mostly about nothing, to her BFF Caity. For the remainder of the movie we mostly got on facebook on our phones and didn't really pay attention.
Finally, when it was over I could watch what I really wanted, The L Word! It is my new obsession as far as television series go. I am a few episodes into the 4th season, although I skipped season 1 because netflix didn't have it streaming.

Valentine's Day/Singles Awareness Day (SAD)
Happy Valentine's Day! Or for those of you who are on the other side of the coin, Happy SAD day. I guess I am technically in a relationship, however it seems like I could celebrate SAD, since I will be in class this evening and my boyfriend will be at work until after 9:00 p.m.
None the less I have treated myself to a gift from Victoria Secret, that should be arriving this evening, to brighten my day! Now I know what you are thinking...A gift from VS? On Valentines Day? Doesn't this seem more like a present for your significant other?
Well I highly doubt that a sweatsuit from the PINK line, will benefit Brennon in anyway. Either way,
I am really excited.
So that would be my advice for any individual, single or not, treat yourself to something you want today! That way you can get exactly what YOU want with no disappointment.

Zumba:
So I was some what interested in taking Zumba... a latin dance exercise class for those of you who don't know. I wasn't completely sure how I felt about it, but have loved all the other classes I have taken at my gym...especially cycling...I wan't to cycle my way to a better body. But I figured, eh why not dance my way to a better body? So I gave it a try this evening. It was all I imaginged it would be and much more. The dancing wasn't as latin as I expected, but more of a fun hip hop twist on latin, with jazzercise aerobics all thrown in for a medley of fun, sweat, and passion!
The class was packed! It was also very entertaining, especially with Briana cackling next to me. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and will be in class bright and early Saturday morning.
Night Terrors -
So Brennon, my boyfriend, fell asleep in my bed - as he often does. After he has been asleep for quite some time, I hear soft wimpering coming from him. I myself, being somewhat asleep wasn't quite sure what to make of this, so I ignored it. Then it got gradually louder, to the point where I figured out that the sound was coming from Brennon. I really enjoy when people do weird things in their sleep, usually, but this time it sounded like he might start crying. So I woke him up. He then proceeded to tell me about his nightmare:
We were up at a ski resort staying in a condo with friends. Brennon had finished fixing the sprinkler system with the cook from the restaurant he works at and returned back to the condo, where it was just the two of us. Thunder and lightning filled the air. The door SWUNG OPEN, Brennon approached the door with a bad feeling in his gut.......
That's when I woke him up as the wimpering was getting louder. Oddly enough, this is not the only time Brennon has wimpered out loud in his sleep since we've been dating. Even more odd, in the last nightmare he had, there was someone outside the door with an axe trying to get in. Go figure.

Sooo Many Projects:
So Far I have:
2 wood frame chairs that I need to paint and get cushions on.
A medal pedestal table (with a wicker top), that needs a new top and paint
4 kitchen table chairs that need to be refinished and the cushions re-upholstered.
1 Bedside lamp that needs a make-over, both the base and the shade
Also I am in the midst of trying to put together some other fun lamp ideas.
I really love working on my projects, but in the winter it is really hard, plus I have no where to put all my finished masterpieces at the moment... Maybe I should rent a storage unit /:
Here's a few of my projects that I have already completed:
This dresser used to be stark white with big round wooden knobs (yuck!) So rather than spend a fortune on new pieces when I had perfectly good ones at home, I just gave my old furniture a make-over.
This night stand used to be white with sage green doors (remember that era in the 90's when anything green was all the rage, especially sage and hunter green).
Incidentally, the lamp in the back round is the one that I want to give a make over too.
The flower arrangement is the one that I made in 10th grade interior design class - still love it!
The mirror on the night stand used to be bright silver and hung in my college dorm, but my mom glazed it over with a touch of bronze to tone it down. I really like it now.
I think that I am most proud of this dresser. I found it at the good ole' Sandy Deseret Industries. It was $60.00 and a very light brown with old handle bar drawer pulls. I am the worst ever at before pictures...I'm working on it! I painted this an apple green and put a dark hickory stain over it, I absolutely love the end result. The only problem was, when I took off all the handles (which one was missing to begin with) I could not find and handles that were wide enought to fit the pre-existing drilled holes and the 4 larger drawers. There was talk of filling in the existing holes and drilling new ones, but I have yet to explore that realm of wood work. Plus I don't have a drill yet. My dad said that I can borrow all his tools, but I would like to start collecting my own. That is why the 4 bottom drawers have knobs on them instead of handles.*
I somewhat have a before picture for this one. I found this metal garden art in the clearance section at Walmart for $3.00. I figure for $3.00 I might as well see what I can do with it. So I took my left over hickory stain from my dresser and began to rub it over the pale green paint, that originally covered my metal tile. The stain wasn't given the desired effect that I was looking for, so I mixed some of the stain with black paint for a more dramatic effect.
This is the back of it and the original color. You can see where I tested out my stain technique in the corner.
As soon as I start working on my other projects I will hopefully take pictures from the very beginning and throughout the whole process, so you can see before and after photos.
